THE BRUGNANO BROTHERS
Brugnano is a Sicilian winery based in Partinico, reborn thanks to the renewed vision of brothers Francesco and Giuseppe. After a pause in production, the company chose to set out again with a lighter step, allowing the family’s history to breathe once more through a young, conscious energy. It is precisely from this dialogue between what endures and what transforms that the new Brugnano identity takes shape, rooted in deep traditions and guided by an open, contemporary outlook.
During the two years of the pandemic, the brothers seized the opportunity to rethink everything, from the way wine is made to the way it is told. They envisioned a project built on authenticity, quality, and more direct communication, capable of speaking to people with simplicity, transparency, and a language that comes from the heart.
Very young, Francesco and Giuseppe took on a legacy spanning more than fifty years and transformed it into a new driving force. They chose to bring closer together those who create wine and those who live it, introducing a contemporary, dynamic, vibrant spirit into the winery. They are the protagonists of the new era of Brugnano, a generation that does not deny the past, but preserves and renews it, defending the uniqueness of the territory and the deepest meaning of winemaking.
WINES AND TERRITORY
The vineyards extend over approximately 90 hectares across the hills of northwestern Sicily, at the heart of the Monreale and Alcamo DOC areas, territories that for generations have safeguarded one of the island’s most deeply rooted winemaking traditions.
In the Monreale DOC, hills ranging from 300 to 650 meters above sea level offer rocky, clay based soils composed of calcareous marls and mineral rich clays, capable of giving wines elegance, verticality, and natural freshness. Strong temperature variations and constant ventilation help develop clean, layered aromas, an authentic expression of the Palermo hinterland.
In the Alcamo DOC, the soils become looser and sandier, often mixed with marine sediments. It is a bright landscape, open to the winds, where the vine grows vigorously and yields wines with pronounced salinity, rich aromatic intensity, and a sunny immediacy that reflects the identity of Sicily’s western coastal strip.
To this heritage, in 2025 Brugnano added a new and significant chapter, a 100 hectare estate in the province of Trapani, a territory where nature expresses itself with strength and harmony. Here the soils alternate between limestone, red clay, and marine sands, producing wines that are deep and textural, yet always marked by vibrant freshness. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, breezy summers and the constant influence of sea winds, supports slow, balanced ripening, enhancing complexity and structure. In this new setting, Brugnano is already looking ahead, a project dedicated to creating a place where the Brugnano experience can be fully lived, immersed in vineyards, nature, and local hospitality. A space designed to welcome enthusiasts and visitors, to tell the company’s philosophy, and to offer direct contact with the most authentic identity of its wines.
VISION AND MISSION
The new Brugnano generation grew up in the winery, among aromas and harvests, and today carries forward a project that is first and foremost a life choice, making the family business a point of reference for western Sicilian enology.
The approach is transparent and identity driven, Brugnano does not seek to be different, but unique. Unique in the way it tells its story, in its bond with the territory, and in its desire to bring producer and consumer closer together through accessible, authentic language.
IMAGE AND COMMUNICATION
Rebranding is an integral part of the relaunch, new logo, new labels, new packaging. All visual elements speak the language of modernity without denying their origins. The result is a fluid, fresh, recognizable image that reflects the company’s values.
PRODUCTION AND GROWTH
In recent years, Brugnano has completely renewed its range, with the aim of meeting the needs of a contemporary audience while never renouncing quality, authenticity, and coherence with its corporate identity. This journey has enabled rapid growth, today Brugnano is present in 13 countries and produces approximately 250,000 bottles per year, an achievement reached in just three years thanks to targeted investments, vision, and constant commitment. An evolution that testifies to its ability to innovate, enhance tradition, and look to the future with confidence.
WINERY EXPERIENCES
Brugnano is also a place to be experienced, the winery, immersed in greenery and recently renovated, is open to the public for guided tours and tastings. An opportunity to discover the production process up close and enjoy an authentic experience in the heart of the Sicilian territory.
