Wine-growing estate
The family history goes back to the 13th century. In 1685 our Huguenot ancestors settled in the South Palatinate. From 1980 the estate gradually moved towards environmentally friendly and then on to organic viticulture. In 2000 Manfred Hermann Lind was awarded the honorary title “Ökonomierat” for his outstanding services to the wine-growing industry. In 1981 Manfred Lind handed over the management of the wine-growing estate to Rüdiger Walter Karl Lind. Today he is leading it together with his daughter Elena, who has finished her studies in Viticulture & Enology.
Tradition and Innovation
Our wine-cellar is the “nursery” of our wines. By gentle nurturing we allow our wines to develop their own character. Natural purification and doing without special treatment vouch for long enjoyment and pleasure without remorse. Healthy grapes are developed by the special “Sur-Lie” method. They lie on the fine yeast until bottling and so assimilate more minerals, fruity fragrance and bio-active substances. Through the long “mother-child” contact and a biological acidity reduction we are able to offer you exceptionally well-balanced wines.
Terroir
Everything stems from the soil. On our fertile loam soil with its changing chalk (0,5% - 12%) and sand content full bodied wines flourish.
Set off on a voyage of discovery and explore the fine and subtly differentiated tastes.
Nature and Ecology
As organic wine-growers we treat „mother nature“ responsibly. The preservation of the soil and the cultivation of rich animal and plant life (biodiversity) are at the centre of long-lasting wine-growing that produces natural results. By planting herbs and leguminous plants we encourage biodiversity and maintain an allround intact ecosystem.
We enjoy our daily work in our natural environment, supporting the ecology. For over 30 years we have been a member of the Federal Association of Ecological Wine-Growers EcoVin.

Area
Our wine-growing estate is situated in the southern tip of the wine-growing area of the South Palatinate. Bordering on Alsace, this is regarded as one of the most innovative wine regions in Germany. In this Mediterranean climate not only grapes, but also figs, sweet chestnuts, kiwis and lemons flourish. All our vineyards are part of the single location “Mandelpfad” (almond path).
